Early Childhood Whole Book Approach Storytime Guide Set

Discover the difference between reading WITH children and reading TO children with the help of these Early Childhood Whole Book Approach Storytime Guides. This set contains 4 Guides (Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade) PLUS the PD title: “Reading Picture Books with Children: How to Shake Up Storytime and Get Kids Talking about What They See” by award-winning author, Megan Dowd Lambert. Megan developed the Whole Book Approach in association with The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art to help teachers, librarians, and parents and other caregivers support children's visual literacy skills and critical thinking at storytime. The Guides offer suggested discussion points and engaging questions for 10 read-aloud titles per grade. This set is the perfect resource for anyone seeking helpful tools to make storytimes more interactive and discussion-based, while enriching repeat readings of the curated titles and providing tips and tools that can be applied to any picture book.
